The Commercial Plumber is responsible for assisting with the inspection, installation, scheduling, calibrating, testing and repairs & maintenance of all plumbing systems including natural gas, portable or fixed gas tanks and fuel oil systems, fire protection systems, sewage systems, drains/gutters, piping, grease traps, bathroom toilet fixtures and pumping equipment for the interior and exterior of the job. Position Overview
The Apprentice will shadow a Journeyman or licensed professional for a duration of two years before becoming eligible to take the journeyman exam. Excavator Operator

General Summary
Operate an excavator (Track hoe) to site grading, excavating trenches, pull trench boxes, back fill, and load materials in a variety of heavy construction operations. When not operating excavator (Track hoe), may also operate other construction equipment and perform general labor tasks as required. Work cooperatively with the crew to accomplish tasks. Maintain tools and equipment so that they are kept in good working or required and are safe for use; Participate in training and other forms of development to strengthen technical, safety and other skills. Operate other construction equipment as required. Consistently monitor and maintain compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Maintain a clean and safe work environment to include equipment operated. Perform a variety of general labor tasks as required for the job. Train and mentor other employees on operating equipment, safety requirements and other construction processes. Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Thorough knowledge in the proper use of dozers and related materials and supplies used in heavy construction work. Thorough knowledge of applicable safety precautions. Ability to work under general supervision according to work schedule. Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency. Good communication skills to coordinate workflow with other crew members.
Required Education, Training and Experience: Must have at least 2 years previous experience operating a dozer (depending upon level of operator) High school diploma or equivalent (GED) strongly preferred. Valid appropriate state driver’s license (general operator license) required; OSHA 10 Certification is preferred.
Work Environment: Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue and to effectively jump, sprint or throw an object. Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. Noise level is generally loud.
Experience Levels:
Class C Operator - operator with 1-2 years excavator operation experience; may perform operations such as back filling, basic trench digging, loading trucks, rough grading, etc.
Class B Operator - operator with 3-5 years excavator operation experience; may perform more complex digging operations such as work around existing utilities, finish grade, able to dig in boxes up to 10 feet, pull trench boxes familiar with benching & sloping, etc.
Class A Operator - operator with 5 years excavator operation experience; may perform very complex digging operations to include digging around existing utilities, finish grade, dig in trench boxes at all depths, blue top finish, benching, sloping, etc. This level is typically viewed as a production operator and will be able to understand grade

The Foreman’s primary purpose is to supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of all mine operations personnel.
- Provide leadership to all mining activities, ensuring work is being completed in a safe, efficient and timely manner.

Production, Efficiency and Cost Control
- Coordinate equipment usage to ensure efficient and effective achievement of operational objectives.

- Ensures all administrative data for the operations is generated accurately and in a timely manner; including all equipment and personnel time sheets and log books as well as daily diaries and production reports as required.

- Report performance breakdowns, equipment damage, safety near misses, incidents and accidents according to established procedures.
- Implement daily, weekly and monthly operational plans and objectives, in accordance with production plan requirements.
- Assesses employee performance against objectives on a regular basis as per Company policy and take corrective action where required.
- Implement and maintain operating procedures to ensure safe and effective operation of the mine.
- Implement actions to optimize mining process performance and attain efficiency targets in the areas of: labor productivity, equipment availability, utilization, and material consumption.
- Participate actively with the technical services group to support the development of optimum mining short and long-term plans.
- Develop and implement area work ownership with resources to maintain appropriate balance of workload with priority to equipment availability.
- Investigate accidents and near misses with a view toward positive action, emphasis on prevention through training, equipment set-up or equipment repair and report on findings and conclusions.
- Identify haul roads and dumpsites that need repair and ensure deviations are rectified.
Environment and Safety
- Improve on safety standards by holding safety meetings, conducting safety interactions and taking corrective action where required.
- Ensure adherence to State, Federal and Company workplace policies and standard work procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control;
